EN
Ostgut was the predecessor to the famous Berghain, which closed in 2003. Berghain opened a year later as its successor and carried on the musical legacy in Berlin.

Later, Berghain reclaimed its former name and launched its record label “Ostgut Ton”, introducing techno genres and releases by resident DJs, thereby establishing itself as a leading force in the electronic music scene.

This typeface reflects the history of techno’s emergence on the Berlin music scene, the origins of one of the world’s most iconic night-time temples.

Ostgut Club is concrete, raw, post-apocalyptic, rhythmic, hypnotic, intense. With this typeface, music is experienced as a ritual, dancing becomes a trance, and anonymity allows one to explore one’s identity.
